This is my sister’s all time favorite dish. Deepu this one is for you! She is also pretty health conscious and had made it in an appepan years ago! I just got on the band wagon recently.i tried this on Ugadi and it was superb! Ultra delish without the deep frying and hence a must-try for all of you! Read the recipe and give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed! Great combination with mavinkayi chitranna

Ingredients
Potato stuffing
Batter

Instructions
Potato stuffing
  1. Take all the ingredients for the potato stuffing in a bowl
  2. Mix it well making sure there are no big lumps of unmashed potato
Batter
  1. Take all the ingredients for the batter in a separate bowl
  2. Add water little by little till you make a smooth semi thick batter
Bonda
  1. Heat the appe pan add a drop of oil in each
  2. Make small lemon sized balls of the potato stuffing
  3. Dip each ball in the batter
  4. Make sure each ball is evenly coated with the batter
  5. Drop the batter coated bondas into the appe pan slots ( if you are particular about deep frying, carefully drop these into hot oil)
  6. Using the skewer turn them so it is uniformly cooked on all sides, cook slowly on medium heat
  7. Remove when the bondas are completely cooked
  8. Serve hot!
Recipe Notes

You will need oil to deep fry if you decide to the traditional route! The rest of the recipe is the same.
