This is an accompaniment made to go with huggi/pongal. A very simple to make but flavorful accompaniment to contrast the simplicity of pongal. A bite of the pongal with this gojju will change the way you breakfast from here on out! :) Not sure how the name came around to be but Bella in kannada means jaggery and gojju is a savory sauce. Not sure why they were partial to jaggery only while naming this. LOL!

Bellada gojju/ Bell gojju/ Tamarind and Jaggery sauce
A great sweet, tangy and slighlty spicy side dish and is a match made in heaven for huggi/pongal. Many households don't even say huggi without adding gojju. Common name when making the breakfast dish huggi is huggi-gojju!
