Anybody remember a tiny little restaurant called Chinese Hut in Bangalore? It was hidden away in a corner beneath a well known restaurant called Chalukya. Amazing indo chinese food and we used to love going there as a family. One of those times my dad found ‘Chilli Garlic Potato’ on the menu and he ordered it as he was intrigued. It was an appetizer and we all loved it and devoured it. My mom just sat smiling.

A few days later she said she was making something special and totally surprised us all by bringing out a bowl of homemade Chilli Garlic Potato! It so happens my dad is not a huge fan of garlic and so she had never tried this recipe at home even though she had known about all along. Oh what a lovely addition to our list of demands, from there on the three of us ate in all forms, as an appetizer , as a side dish with roti or even mix it like sabzi with rice! Super tasty and easy to make a must try even for those who don’t want to spend too long in the kitchen.
