Instructions
  1. Rajma
  2. Wash and soak beans for 6-8hrs. Drain water. Add salt and water (about 2x that of beans) and pressure cook it for 1-2 whistles.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add onions and saute till translucent. Add giner and garlic paste and saute
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till mashed. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and garam masala. Cook everything for 3-4 minutes
  5. Add water (1/2 cup) to make the consistency a little runny
  6. Now add the cooked beans, add a little more water (about 1 cup) , salt and a pinch of sugar and cook on low to medium heat for 20-25 minutes. Continue stirring occasionally so it doesn't burn
  7. Remove from flame, garnish with cilantro and enjoy with hot fluffy white rice
