  1. Shahi Paneer
  2. Cut paneer into small cubes
  3. Chop onions, ginger and green chillies and keep them aside
  4. Chop tomatoes and keep it ready
  5. Heat butter in a pan and add jeera and let it splutter add onions, ginger and green chillies , cook till onion turns translucent
  6. Add cardamoms, tomatoes, turmeric, garam masala and red chilli powder
  7. Cook everything till the tomatoes are soft and mushy
  8. When tomatoes are cooked well and the butter starts to leave the side of the pan switch off the flame and add yoghurt. Add kasuri methi by crushing it between your palms.
  9. Let everything cool and then grind to a smooth consistency. Add water if gravy is too thick. Add salt. Add sugar if too tart (this is optional)
  10. Add the paneer pieces and simmer on low heat for 5-8 minutes.
  11. Add heavy cream, mix well. Transfer it to a serving dish, garnish with cilantro and serve hot with jeera rice or roti.

    Rupa dear, I am actually trying this dish tonight for my boys. I have a similar recipe for my shahi paneer but this looks very tempting. Hope it will come out good.
