My maiden attempt at making jam and yay it was a success! We recently tried out some awesome sliders at a restaurant that serves it with tomato jam. Until then I hadn’t even heard of such a thing. It tasted really good and with the sliders and most importantly hooked my kids to it! They just fell head over heels in love with the whole thing. Now i cannot take them there everytime they have a craving for it, it’s only a hundred miles away from home. I cannot deny them the joy of having it again and soon so what’s a mom supposed to do? She recreates it at home using her magic wand! That’s exactly what i did and because my intention was so good (are you rolling your eyes at me) ..i mean it it was pure love for my kids (ok you got me, i wanted to eat it again too, is that a crime? LOL!) it came out really good! I can’t wait to make the sliders with this once it cools! Read on for this easy and delish recipe! Happy jamming!

Ingredients
Servings: Jam jar
Instructions
  1. Tangy Tomato Jam
  2. Wash and chop the tomato into cubes
  3. Transfer it to a thick bottomed non-stick pan. Add sugar and start cooking it on a medium flame
  4. Add all the remaining ingredients and let it cook
  5. Once it comes to a boil let it simmer for about 25 mins till it thickens to a jam consistency
  6. Transfer it to hot sterilized jam jar (i washed the jar well with hot water and microwaved it for a minute)
  7. Close the lid, invert it and let it cool! Store it in the refrigerator. It should be good for upto a week.
  8. Enjoy delicious tomato jam!
